Gab Ginsberg Interview (Managing Editor, Consequence)
Gab Ginsberg is the newly appointed Managing Editor at Consequence. Gab previously worked at HollywoodLife and as Senior Editor at Billboard. At Consequence, Gab promises that the site will be "diversifying the genres we cover, while adding more inclusive features/franchises and introducing more voices into the mix. My personal goal is to make sure each staff member does their best possible work, and—perhaps most importantly—is fulfilled creatively."
How did you get to where you are today, professionally?
While in college, I began contributing to the now-defunct USA Today College vertical, which gave me my first published bylines. I also interned at a local TV station in my university’s city. After college, I became an editorial intern at Us Weekly, which led me to my first real job: editorial coordinator at HollywoodLife. I was soon promoted to staff writer, where I worked across the news and entertainment sections. Eventually I realized my main interest was in music, and created the music editor position. My time at HL definitely served as a stepping stone to Billboard, where I was lucky to be hired as a senior editor in 2018. Most recently, I’ve moved on to Consequence, where I now hold the managing editor position.
What are you most excited about with the new job?
